Platinum Next To My Other Rings Question: I am looking into purchasing a wedding band that is 1/3 carat princess cut and is stamped 500 Platinum / 490 Palladium.
I was wondering if it will look different next to my 950PT engagement ring?
Price: $7.24
I was also wondering if local jewelers will be able to resize the ring as it is a 5 and I need to go to an 8 and half. Is this a wise choice to purchase the ring, I am worried about the mix of platinum and palladium together and the long term effects, i.e. will it need to be cleaned more often, will it be more likely to dull or to show scratches?
Thank you very much for your response

Career Advice Question: David- I’m considering a career change and need some advice.

Price: $14.96
I have extensive sales experience but no inside industry knowledge.
What books / magazines / online resources should I research in order to get my foot in the door with a respectable jewelry retailer?
Any guidance would be fantastic.
Thanks, Adam

Chinese jewelry Question: I collect old Chinese jewelry from 300 years old up to the 1960s.

Price: $12.95
It’s my understanding that China marked their jewelry ‘China’ for a certain period, then ‘Made in China’.
Do you know when the ‘China’ period was?
Thanks so much!

Small round Pendant marked 825 Question: Hi There. I found a small round pendant which looks silver marked 825 with another faint mark I think which is A080

Price: $95.00
The pendant, which has a small cluster of gems in it approx 25 in all that look like they could be some sort of clear crystal, cubic zirconia. Not sure.
It is rounded in the front and hollow at the back.
Do you know what this could be and who would make this type of jewelry.
Thank You for your help.

Disney Jewelry Question: This question is actually on behalf of my mother.

Price: $4.99
Between the years 1954-1956, she received a gift from her mother-a mickey mouse ring. (she tells me it was sterling silver, though she’s not sure and that it was a children’s ring with the head of mickey on it)
She lost this ring and wants to find another like it.
My question is, where might I find such jewelry?
Also, are there any websites that list antique jewelry, specifically Disney related?
ANY information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and take care!
Christine
PS, if you do not know the answer, is there anyone else you can refer me to? Thanks again.

Secondhand Ring Question: Hi, I have recently acquired a secondhand ring. I was told it was gold, set with an opal and white sapphires, and had originally been purchased in Malta.

Price: $9.49
The only mark I can make out is ‘750′ stamped inside the band, and a single stamp, which I can’t make out, further round the inside of the band.
Does it sound as if it is likely to be gold - and how can I tell if they clear stones are white sapphires - they are clear and bright and reflect the colours of the opal beautifully.
Hope you can advise.
Carolyn
